A wonderful base to explore Munnar

We loved the few days that we stayed here at the end of our trip to Kerala; the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and every meal we had was delicious (the dry fry chicken was particularly fantastic!). We also really appreciated the late checkout when we didn't need to leave for the airport until 2pm. We were so grateful for the hotel team arranging us our own driver for the four days we were there - Mahendra was so helpful and patient and recommended some great activities for us to do when we had a lull in our itinerary! We'd love to return when the pool is finished!

Off the beaten path boutique hotel

This is a beautiful old villa that has been restored. The rooms has stone walls and a small patio. The shower is very good, and also the bed was very comfortable. We slept well and it was quiet. There is AC but you have to ask to have it turned on. The TV didn't work. Well, it worked but there were not channels for some reason. We asked for help and they responded, but the issue was not resolved during our three night stay. The breakfast was good, but limited. They call it a restaurant but we didn't really consider it as such. The lobby area is very nice and they had a lovely decorated Christmas tree that we very much enjoyed. The hotel is understaffed. There were two people working during our stay. The reception was sometimes empty. The two people are friendly and want to be helpful, but they have to do everything, it seems, including the cooking. So they really are stretched thinly. The location is not ideal for other restaurants. It actually is not in Munnar. There is nothing within walking distance. You must order a taxi or have a driver to visit the resorts, or a tuk tuk for Munnar town. There isn't much to see in Munnar. The hotel doesn't have a license for alcohol. Getting to a resort where the best restaurants are located takes time because even though the distances aren't great the roads are windy, narrow and busy.

This is an awesome place to be in. Great people with great hospitality culture and awesome smiles! You can reach out to them for any help and they will help you for sure! I left my camera tripod and realized after reaching Adimali and they came all the way to Adimali to give it back! The resort is located at Chithirapuram( you can guess it from the name itself) and the view from the front side is mesmerizing! Chithirapuram viewpoint is nearby and they will help you to reach there. Munnar Town is just a half hr journey from here and this place is in a very calm location with a wide variety of birds, flowers. Humming birds will wake you up with their soothing voice! I will put down the highlights here

Nice behaviour, good service, Staff all are very good persons. Location is very good.providing delicoius food. overall great experience, from munnar town to 12km only, and they have nearby city anachaal.and hillview balcony. Hotwater, neat &clean rooms.

Chihirapuram is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. I would even encourage travelers to pick this over Munnar town if you are looking for private family time. Hotel Chihirapuram Palace is tucked sweetly a couple of streets away from the main road leading serenely into the palace, which warmly entices you with a charming palatial look. The creepers on the gate, elegant and yet subtly lit pathway - flanked by a rich variety of plants and trees - leading into the portico, the supremely crafted woodwork inside the hotel, to the stoned walls truly stands testament to its self-referential name. To top it all, Manoj and Selvaraj are super welcoming and take extreme care in making you feel like you've known them all along. Pro-Tip: Make sure to go for a sunrise nature walk with Manoj.
